The dome shaft renovation is carried out in 5 steps:
Step 1: Cleaning
Cleaning of the dome shaft and removal of water or antifrogen;
Blasting of the surfaces with dry ice, to which an abrasive medium has previously been added, to remove existing corrosion products from the metallic surfaces
Step 2: Sealing resin
Application of the vinylester sealing resin to the prepared surface.
Step 3: Carbon fibre fleece
Laying of the carbon fibre fleece, impregnation of the reinforcing material to create a homogeneous bond with the substrate and deaeration of the laminate
Step 4: Sealing resin
Applying the second layer of vinylester sealing resin to the prepared surface.
Step 5: Coating
After the laminate has cured, the complete dome shaft is coated with a DIBt liquid-tight, chemical-resistant, elastic lining.
Your advantages
Sealing the interstitial space does not require any hot work in the dome shaft that could endanger the operation.
The liquid-tight lamination provides additional reinforcement to the chamber floor or tank outer shell and provides maximum protection.
The process can also be used to seal and reinforce pitting on the inner tank shell.
Your production operations can continue during the refurbishment.
The application is time-saving and easy on your finances
