Dome shaft renovation - against corrosion and leaks in the dome shaft.

Often, tank tops and the pipes are porous, corroded and full of holes. A temporary repair with liquid metal filler often does not lead to the desired result. Together with our partner, we offer the renovation of your dome shaft as a long-term solution which saves you from a time-consuming and cost-intensive complete tank replacement.

The dome shaft renovation is carried out in 5 steps:

Step 1: Cleaning

Cleaning of the dome shaft and removal of water or antifrogen;

Blasting of the surfaces with dry ice, to which an abrasive medium has previously been added, to remove existing corrosion products from the metallic surfaces

Step 2: Sealing resin

Application of the vinylester sealing resin to the prepared surface.

Step 3: Carbon fibre fleece

Laying of the carbon fibre fleece, impregnation of the reinforcing material to create a homogeneous bond with the substrate and deaeration of the laminate

Step 4: Sealing resin

Applying the second layer of vinylester sealing resin to the prepared surface.

Step 5: Coating

After the laminate has cured, the complete dome shaft is coated with a DIBt liquid-tight, chemical-resistant, elastic lining.

Your advantages

Sealing the interstitial space does not require any hot work in the dome shaft that could endanger the operation.

The liquid-tight lamination provides additional reinforcement to the chamber floor or tank outer shell and provides maximum protection.

The process can also be used to seal and reinforce pitting on the inner tank shell.

Your production operations can continue during the refurbishment.

The application is time-saving and easy on your finances

Together with our partner, we take responsibility for the environment and offer you a WHG-compliant solution.

Our specialist for dome shaft renovation as well as all services in the area of maintenance and service will be happy to provide you with a consultation.
