Efficient assembly during the construction of a new pipe bridge for Peter / Lacke

Due to accidental damage to the existing pipe bridge, a new pipe bridge had to be built efficiently and quickly for the Peter / Lacke company in Hiddenhausen. As the availability of the media in the pipes was of utmost importance for the ongoing production, impairments of the running operation had to be avoided as far as possible.

The trained team from Keil Anlagenbau was commissioned with the construction and assembly of the new pipe bridge, and the planning was carried out by PURIngenieur GmbH.

The special challenge with this order was to disrupt Peter / Lacke's operations as little as possible. For this reason, a new pipe bridge was built parallel to the existing one. The old bridge was kept in operation until the new pipe bridge was ready for use.
In order to keep the assembly time on Peter / Lacke's premises as short as possible, completely cased bridge segments were pre-assembled on Keil Anlagenbau's company grounds so that only the segments had to be placed on the steel framework and connected on site.
"Thanks to the pre-assembly, we were able to shorten the working time on Peter / Lacke's premises by at least two months and thus minimise the disruption of the operating process to the minimum," said Jens Vietje, construction supervisor at Keil Anlagenbau.
