Keil completes work on major project in the Netherlands

The client originated in 2016 from the idea of the founder, who previously worked in the field of asbestos board disposal, to recycle insulation boards and reprocess them into new boards, according to the principles of Cradle to Cradle.

After the foundation, the first large site with production and recycling plant is now being built in the Netherlands.

Keil Anlagenbau supplied and installed the tank and mixing systems for the production of a high-quality, 100% recyclable PUR insulation product for housing construction.

A total of 14 storage tanks for isocyanate, polyol, flame retardant and pentane were built with a total storage volume of around 1,400,000 litres. The system also includes 2 mixing tanks and one storage tank with a variety of IBC removal and dosing equipment, including automation and control technology.

The plant was built in compliance with and certifiable to the KIWA regulations applicable in the Netherlands.

After the plant was ordered in mid-2021, it was completed by Keil in mid-2022. The commissioning of the plant was completed at the beginning of 2023.
