PUR Recycling Systems - modular - flexible - customised

According to raw material manufacturers, around 1336 kt of flexible polyurethane slabstock foams were produced in Europe alone in 2018. These are used to make mattresses, upholstery or technical foams, for example. Due to the offcuts of the foam blocks, an enormous proportion is generated as unused post-production waste, namely up to 24 % of the tonnage produced.

With a view to finding a particularly resource-saving solution, KEIL Anlagenbau, in cooperation with its partner Nitroil Performance Chemicals GmbH, has developed a completely new method for chemical recycling of flexible foam, rigid foam and TPUs.

The complete article on the chemical recycling process of Keil Anlagenbau and Nitroil Performance Chemicals can be found in the current association magazine of the Fachverband Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane e.V., FSK Aktuell 05 - 11/2022.
