Today we would like to introduce Rainer – as a technical editor in the documentation department, he ensures that everything at KEIL is clear and well documented.
We wanted to know:
How do you explain your job to your grandmother?
As a technical writer, I write easy-to-understand instructions for complex systems so that everyone knows how to use them safely and correctly. I make sure everything is as simple and clear as possible – almost like explaining how your sewing machine works. My goal is to make technology understandable for everyone.
Which do you enjoy more: creating new documentation from scratch or improving existing documentation?
Both have their appeal – when creating new documentation, I immerse myself deeply in the project. But it also gets exciting when existing documents need to be adapted or supplemented. It's simply fun to keep the documentation up to date throughout the entire life cycle of the plant.
What has been your best moment at KEIL so far?
My best moment was my first day at KEIL. On my desk was a hand-drawn welcome sign with the words ‘Welcome Rainer’ written in beautiful handwriting. The sign is still on my desk, and that team spirit has continued to this day.
Thank you, Rainer – you are KEIL!
