How did you come to specialise in polyurethanes?
H.-J. Keil: Keil worked as a heating construction company for private and commercial customers. One day Heinrich Stagge, a trained master weigher and head of the workshop and maintenance of the raw materials warehouse at Elastogran (now BASF), asked if some Keil employees in the raw materials warehouse could help with repair and maintenance work on a permanent basis. This mainly involved welding work.

For the production of insulating foam for pipelines, Keil Anlagenbau has been awarded the contract to supply a storage system for pentane including safety equipment. The pentane will be used for the production of PU foam for the insulation of an oil pipeline from Uganda to the coast of Tanzania.
