As an extension to an existing production of refractory systems for kiln construction, KEIL Anlagenbau has been commissioned to plan and build an autoclave system for impregnating bricks with tar.

The existing plant is to be expanded to make the production process more efficient and safer.

According to raw material manufacturers, around 1336 kt of flexible polyurethane slabstock foams were produced in Europe alone in 2018. These are used to make mattresses, upholstery or technical foams, for example. Due to the offcuts of the foam blocks, an enormous proportion is generated as unused post-production waste, namely up to 24 % of the tonnage produced.

Representatives of the Chamber of Crafts Osnabrück - Emsland - Grafschaft Bentheim recently visited Keil Anlagenbau at its site in Bohmte-Hunteburg.

K, the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, came to an end after eight days on Wednesday (26 October 2022) in Düsseldorf.

The approximately 3,000 exhibitors from 61 nations impressively demonstrated that plastics continue to be an innovative, indispensable and future-oriented material.

What once began in a garage in 1981 is now a globally active company with over 700 employees and sales partners in almost a hundred countries. d&b audiotechnik specialises in the manufacturing of professional audio systems. Loudspeakers, amplifiers and software are produced for a wide variety of applications.

After Keil Anlagenbau had already supplied a plant for the production of PU coatings in the past, the production of d&b audiotechnik on the premises in Backnang is now being expanded due to the strong demand for high-quality audio systems.

Sika is a specialty chemicals company, a leader in the development and manufacture of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protecting for the construction and manufacturing industries.

The company is represented on all five continents in 101 countries with over 27,000 employees and produces in over 300 factories. Sika products are used to seal floors, waterproof flat roofs and produce innovative concrete products.

From 19 to 26 October 2022, Keil Anlagenbau will be presenting its highly efficient polyurethane recycling concept at the K 2022 in Düsseldorf.

The K trade fair is the world’s No.1 trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry. Around 3,000 companies have registered to present their innovations. This year, the main topics are the circular economy, digitalisation and climate protection.

Keil Anlagenbau, with its revolutionary recycling system for polyurethanes, will of course not be missing.

After the outbreak of war in Ukraine and the great need for housing for Ukrainian refugees, especially for families with children, the management and shareholders of Keil Anlagenbau wanted to help.

A previously unused building next to the Keil Anlagenbau premises was renovated within a few weeks so that a large family was able to find a new home there in mid-July.

Due to accidental damage to the existing pipe bridge, a new pipe bridge had to be built efficiently and quickly for the Peter / Lacke company in Hiddenhausen. As the availability of the media in the pipes was of utmost importance for the ongoing production, impairments of the running operation had to be avoided as far as possible.

The trained team from Keil Anlagenbau was commissioned with the construction and assembly of the new pipe bridge, and the planning was carried out by PURIngenieur GmbH.

Keil Anlagenbau was able to secure the first order for a large-scale project in the field of hydrogen technology.

The European Commission cited hydrogen as being a solution capable of decarbonizing “industrial processes and economic sectors where reducing carbon emissions is both urgent and hard to achieve”.
